Families come to us in crisis; our approach of coordinated compassion helps them rebuild their lives with new skills and ongoing support
Keeping Families Close
Johnson Family
Queanna Johnson came to FPGI in 2024 after she was unable to find alternative housing after her lease was up. She and her 3 children found themselves living in a hotel while she worked two jobs and tried to secure housing. She joined our Diversion Program and worked with our case managers to set goals to help her achieve long term housing. With the help of FPGI, she was able to secure a lease and move into an apartment just a few weeks into the program. She has now welcomed another beautiful baby into their family and her hard work has paid off as she recently became a first time home buyer!
Nobles Family
Michael Nobles Sr. came to our Apartment Shelter Program at a time where he was living in a garage. He and his teenage son were placed into their own unit in our apartment shelter program where his son was able to successfully graduate high school and Michael worked with his case manager to secure a lease on a house. They moved in during summer of 2025 and continue to stay in touch and are avid supporters of FPGI.

Stories of Hope
Kesha & Family
“Thank you all so much! I am literally in tears at your generosity and the awesome hand of God that's continuously at work over me and my family's life. I want to again say a heartfelt thank you to you and the team at Family Promise! Thank you for being a vessel that our creator uses to bless so many people who truly need it! I firmly believe as we extend a hand to others the more hands are extended to us in return. Many blessings to you and your family! Please pass this along to your supervisor. Your blessings are on the way!"
Porsh Phillips
Is a mom of five who experienced homelessness as a child and was determined to provide a different life for her own children. She worked tirelessly to make the changes necessary to set her family on a different path. She got her CDL license, earned good money driving a school bus for years, took the course to earn a Hazmat endorsement on her CDL license (FPGI paid for this course) got an even better job, worked with INHP, cleaned up her credit after taking their courses, was approved for a mortgage. She is able to give her children their own rooms, which is something that she had always said she wanted to do.

“At 29 years old, I faced a tragic hardship. I lived in a house with my children and had to then live in a hotel. I searched for housing and had no luck. I worked two jobs so that I can meet the income requirements expected of me to be approved. A friend of mine referred me to Family Promise. My case manager, Joy, was on top of everything. On July 30th I received notification that I had been approved for a home the next day. With help from Family Promise, I salute them to the fullest and most importantly my case manager JOY!!! She worked so hard to help me, she did what she promised. They're like family and I will never forget who was there for me and my children.”
