"Home Sweet Home" returns Thursday, October 5, but now at the Black Iris Estate on 116th Street in Carmel!

Dear friends, You helped the #NightWithoutABed campaign raise more than $200,000 last month! We all came together to fuel an apartment program that has allowed the staff to say "Yes, we have space" to so many families that call for shelter. At the same time, Family Promise expanded yet again this past year, hosting 24 families now in shelter and 20 more in Diversion. It creates an annual need to expand the Family Assistance Fund to support those families with first month's rent, childcare, work uniforms, and more. To do that, we need you to save the date for our longest-running fundraiser:

We loved being at The Willows this past decade, but with the redevelopment of that property, we are grateful to have a new venue welcome our hallmark event--The Black Iris Estate! If you have not been there, we know you will love the views, the food, and of course, our mission remains the same!

As in previous years, it will be a program that you won't want to miss, including remarks from a former guest of the shelter. Most importantly, it will be a way to respond to the growing need of shelter for children and their families, and for a path back to permanent housing.

Please mark this date in your calendar and know how much your support is appreciated. Then get ready for the delicious dessert auction!
